The Narrator
Character · Original character · Incorporeal
The Narrator is the voice that steps in beside a journal to say what its writer was never told. It is not Flinch, and it is not the Arcanum. It knows the histories behind the places and the people, and it tells them plainly, in the third person, without the writer’s habits of speech.
A journal gives only what its writer saw and was told. The Narrator adds the history of the places, the people and the errands, so the world around the writer can be understood. Its words are set apart in italics, in a block of their own, and it has no class colour.
